moe provencher - americana/folk

Moe Provencher is, well, Moe Provencher. Her Band (or Project, or Adventure, or Hour, or whatnot) is most often Aimee Zoe Tubbs, Bob Rice, and Michele Khazak. A whole bunch of Seattle (and beyond) luminaries played on Blues Filter Through, and when we're really really lucky, they show up on stage as well.

Moe Provencher is a singer, songwriter, engineer, and player of guitars, harmonicas, and mandolins. She has two solo records to date: 2007's 4-song EP 2+2, and the full-length follow up in 2009, Blues Filter Through. Moe can also be found busking 'round the streets with Aimee as the country/bluegrass duo MoZo, and occasionally sitting in with other folks like The Starlings and Strange Jerome.

Aimee Zoe Tubbs is a drummer and singer who also dabbles in piano and saxophone. She can be found playing with Seattle americana group The Starlings, busking duo MoZo, and rock group My Favorite Girl as well as various other projects.

Bob Rice (Lightnin' Hopkins, John Lee Hooker) - guitars - guitar player, singer and songwriter

Michele Khazak (Scandalmonger) - vocals - tra la la la la and so on and so forth

Alana King (Miss Mamie Lavona) - upright bass

Joanna Maria Hussain (Zili Misik) - electric bass - JM lives in Boston, so we only get to play with her a few times a year.  It's her phenomenal bass playing that appears on Blues Filter Through.

**The following folks all contributed to Blues Filter Through, and sometimes make guest appearances at shows:

Chris Zasche (The Maldives, Grand Hallway) played some pedal steel, Joy Mills and Tom Parker (The Starlings) sang and hollered, and Meg Allen and Alan Loomis played trumpets.
